Case of licensing |
- A multinational company, who owns a number of licensable technologies,
assigns special recourses to manage their IPs, but there are
still some difficulties. First, it’s hard to find the opportunities
in Far East market because it is impossible to set up many licensing
positions around the world. Second, their technologies cover
many fields, which makes it impossible for licensing staff to
know all of technologies. When someone asks a question about

and pharmaceutical intermediate has strong willing to look for
an advanced bio-technology. His basic requirement is a competitive
technology with reasonable price for popular production in the
market and his current equipment must be used for the new technology.

on the requirement; finally, we decided that the bio-fermentation
technology to produce Vitamine B2 was the best one for this
manufacturer. Then Coway asked for this technology to several
overseas partners, in the following month, we got all feedbacks.
We studied all received technologies, and finally, selected
one technology from German. Then we arranged four face-to-face
meetings for technical communication and business negotiation
with the technology supplier and later the signing ceremony
for the technology transferring was held in Coway.
